This filter is made by a Taiwanese company of unknown name, and the only place that I have found this particular brand for sale is through Dennis Kirk. If anyone knows of this filter's true origin, please e-mail me.

At first glance, this filter looks like a good one. It most closely resembles the Emgo and the Vesrah filters in construction, with a few exceptions. Externally, the filter flats are smaller, and not defined with a ridge around the casing like the others. My ratchet-end filter wrench mated firmly with the end of the can nevertheless. Internally, there were several things that bothered me about the filter element. First, if you look closely just below the upper endcap in the center of the photo, you may be able to pick out the HUGE glob of glue that ran down onto the filter element during assembly. There is a corresponding large glob in that same location on the inside of the element, another on the other side of the filter on the bottom endcap, and a ring of glue around the bypass valve on the inside of the element. These blobs make me question their quality control. Second, I found the filter element to be very evenly spaced, with the exception of a spot in the back (not visible in the photo) where the pleats had been nearly crushed together on one side.

While I do think that this filter would do the job, the extra glue really worries me. I would not recommend this filter simply because of suspect quality control. If you could open the filter before you used it, you could be sure, but you can't. Err on the side of caution.
